The Cow Head Allochthon shales measure an excellant 10% TOC. The
Table Head source rock has a very good 2% TOC, but is just 20 meters
thick.
The St. George carbonates measure up to 20% porosity. They are of
the same age and quality as the Pan Handle's Ellenburger. The largely
carbonate banks need to be folded by or over thrust faults and fed by
the deeper water shales in the oil maturation window. This geological
juxtaposition occurs over a wide swath, at varying quality.
